Just Sear Introduces Malaysia’s First Pre-Cooked Ready-to-Sear Steaks and Ready-to-Bake Meat-Based Products

Attention meat lovers, get ready to dig into a wide array of juicy red meats! Just Sear is on a mission to disrupt the red meat market by bringing succulent and perfectly cooked premium red meat to the masses.

Founded by a team of engineers, Just Sear has unleashed a wide array of pre-cooked ready-to-sear steaks and ready-to-bake meat-based products – all with the goal of making premium quality meats, more affordable, easier to cook and simply more accessible to everyday Malaysians.

“The age-old meat-eater’s conundrum is often referred to as the ‘unattainable triangle’ – the combination of affordable pricing, high quality, speed and convenience. You can have it fast, cheap or good, at most two out of three, but not all at once. Or so it used to be, but now with Just Sear, we give you all three,” said Saheran, the co-founder of Just Sear.

By cutting out the middleman, sourcing directly from suppliers, and selling straight to consumers, Just Sear have made eating premium steaks more affordable, opening up the delectable dish to thousands more ravenous carnivores.

But it isn’t just price. Through extensive research and experimentation, Just Sear developed a quick, easy and fun way to cook red meat – even the most novice cook can produce restaurant quality steaks without breaking a sweat. As the product is delivered pre-cooked and frozen, customers need only to defrost, pat dry and sear the meat. Within minutes, customers will be rewarded with gloriously delicious steaks, at home, and at a fraction of the price.

“Many people think that good quality steaks have to be expensive and can only be found in the fanciest of restaurants. This couldn’t be further from the truth, especially now with Just Sear. You don’t have to brave going out to a restaurant, especially amidst this on-going pandemic, and you don’t even need to break the bank for a gorgeous piece of steak. Just order from us, spend mere minutes to sear the steaks, and then savour every bite from the comfort of your own home,” added Saheran.

The Just Sear team is a quartet of culinary enthusiasts, unified by their passion for steaks – Saheran Hamid, Hisyammudin Yunos, Shazwan Md Noh, and Wai How. The brand initially started off as a meal-prep practice, developed as a sustainable means to support Saheran’s meat-based Ketogenic lifestyle and diet.

“Steaks are an important part of my Ketogenic lifestyle and diet. The idea is to cut out processed foods and focus on nutrient-dense whole foods such as red meat. But it was difficult to sustain a meat-based diet without burning a hole in my wallet or eating up a large chunk of my time. It was then that I decided a change needed to be made. Eating steaks should be more sustainable, affordable, convenient and tasty. I spent years working on a solution, and finally arrived at the cook-freeze-defrost-sear process that we use today,” said Saheran.

Since the beginning of its business journey in August 2019, the brand has grown tremendously, producing between 2 to 3 tons of mouth-watering premium meats every month.

From pre-cooked Wagyu briskets, Angus short ribs, Wagyu tomahawks, to even pre-cooked dry-aged Japanese Wagyu A5 Picanha, customers have a veritable feast of the finest meats to choose from. Just Sear’s steaks are pre-cooked to medium rare, while its barbeque cuts such

as ribs, briskets and karubi are cooked to fork tender. It is then sold and delivered to customers frozen.
